Thai Yoga MassageThis powerful and dynamic form of massage - which is also known as Thai Massage - is one of the main elements of traditional Thai medicine. Originating in India around the time of the Buddha, over 2,000 years ago, Thai Massage is rooted in Indian traditions of yoga and in Buddhist spiritual practices. It is founded on the idea of working with the body's "sen" or energy pathways and combines gentle yoga techniques with acupressure. In a typical Thai Massage session, a practitioner works intensively with one recipient to rebalance their body and spirit, bringing profound relaxation and well-being and helping to ease all kinds of complaints. The massage starts at the feet and with varying pressure progresses to the legs, back and stomach, neck and shoulders. After up to two hours it gently concludes on the head and face. Thai Foot MassageThai Foot Massage is a relatively new treatment and is adapted from two very ancient techniques, reflexology and traditional Thai Massage. It has only been taught and practiced in Thailand since around 1999. Unlike reflexology, Thai foot Massage is not diagnostic, but works to stimulates all the reflex zones of the feet in every treatment with the additional bonus of some Thai Massage techniques that stimulates energy flow in the legs and stretch the ankles and feet as well. The result is a very effective and stimulating foot massage.
